Nurtured by Love is the amazingly inspiring autobiography of Shinichi Suzuki. In it he shares the story of how he conceived of the “Suzuki Method” of violin instruction which he called the “mother-tongue method of education.” This classic is full of stories about his own education, time spent with great men like Schweitzer and Einstein, ideas about how to teach children and his personal journey to discover and live his life purpose. My favorite quote, “What is man’s ultimate direction in life? It is to look for love, truth, virtue and beauty.”
